Orrin · wireless speaker

Sound you
can see.

A single column of sound, crowned with a ring of light that follows the music.

01 · Sound

Three-sixty, from one column.

A downward driver and a fabric shell spread sound evenly around the room — there is no front to face.

02 · Inside

Five parts.
Nothing extra.

Glass cap, light ring, two shell halves around the driver, and a weighted base. That's the whole speaker.

03 · Light

Light that
listens.

The ring breathes with the bass and shifts color with the track. Dim it, or let the music decide.

04 · Finish

Three finishes.
All of them quiet.

How it's made

No 3D model.
Just math.

01

Shapes from distances

Every part is a signed distance function — a few lines that say how far any point is from the surface.

02

Ray marching

For every pixel a ray steps toward the speaker until it touches it, up to 110 steps, many times per second.

03

Light without post

The glow of the ring is measured on the way: the closer a ray passes the ring, the more light it picks up.
